I would have put -10000 if I could. MC is the most pathetic piece of sh*t in the entire world. Cliche is the only thing keeping this s*upid novel going. He literally falls in love with every women he sees. And then they reject him and hell cry for years and get depressed, love again and depressed over and over again. He doesn't even dare retaliate. He can't even talk like a human. He is the most powerful but the most useless MC ever. Story is s*upid. Author is probably... more>> brainless 6 y/o. <<less

There is a limit on how useless and s*upid an MC should be

for once I read this because the plot was interesting but with this and that and MC remains a coward even with god strength is rather disappointing..

Spoiler

I hate NTR and this is what direction this novel is being taken

Yup MC is useless he can't even protect his harem so what's the point of having one!? The girl being r*pe in front of him and he just stand there because his s*upid past trauma made him scared...

[collapse]

now if there is even a hint on NTR on this novel and I drop it on spot...

As of Chapter 192 lol have mix feelings in this can't help but curse the author

NTR is real -_-

Spoiler

Yup childhood girl is a b*tch and got f*ck by the hero and MC is a P*ssy as ever.

What made me really angry is how the author make it so that it is only natural for the girl to dump the MC and the girl was like I feel bad about it (after the childhood girl f*ck the hero and know she feels bad about the MC?) doesn't even make any sense! and whats worse the MC was like it was natural for the girl to dump him and later cry whole day.! To hell his so OP and still a wimp! he already have a harem and he was still a big wimp loser virg*n with no touch to girl attitude.

[collapse]

Finally the childhood girl question was answered lol reality is such and the author is big AH! for putting reality and novel together lol

Now how the MC attitude with the girl I will read it if there is no change then I guess no reason reading this novel so the next 8 chapters will make me decide to drop or continue reading this novel.

Spoiler

It would be a big joke since the childhood girl already F*ck the hero and MC will still remain a virg*n through out the story. I am not looking for any H scene but the less MC can do to the girls is answer there feeling (Yup just graduate from his v**ginity since it will make this novel interesting)

The chapters are short so it's an easy read and you can end up reading it just out of habit, hell that's the only reason I can figure that had read it to this point.

As other reviews have mentioned the MC is OP in stats but he is super weak mentally, that wouldn't be so bad if it weren't complicated by the writing itself being even weaker. There is almost no character depth for anyone, characters behave in certain ways purely for cliche, many things are done just to be... more>> weird and the harem itself is handled horribly.

On the point of the harem, which I feel is the biggest issue, each girl just falls in love with the guy so easily that it can actually feel insulting. Just calling it lazy writing or build up doesn't really do it justice. For example he saves a princess by kicking an assassin out of the way and she falls for him immediately without a word said. Not only did she fall for him from that, but it's to a very s*upid and over the top level. That kind of pattern applies to most every harem girl, they all just fall for him with no real justification and it quickly turns the harem into nothing but a cheap collection rather than a valued or even just invested relationship. It's worse after they join the harem because the author then effectively strips away their individuality and turns them into one composite character. That's not a joke or exaggeration, once the first few girls agree on the idea of a harem, they stop quarreling with each other, then act and even speak in unison. When they meet up with a new harem member they quickly drag her into the fold and their individuality is stripped away.

If you're looking for a harem story, there are far better ones out there to try before even glimpsing this. I should also throw in that the comedy is horrible, it handles the butler character and constant bandit attacks in ways that make it feel like it's desperate to make you laugh but it has no comedic sense. The only chance of salvation this series could possibly have is if the company who bought it goes and completely rewrites it from the bottom up to invest in and properly develop the characters individuality, the events that take place, and their interpersonal relationships. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because it was so easy to read it could become a habit, but that is probably more a credit to the translator than the story. <<less

like who can have strong heart when his childhood friend NTR-ed him in front of his eyes!? Most boys will have trauma because of it, and people that doesn't have trauma only psycopath or netori MC themself!

Well, I know I only have read small number of chapters, but I just find this pretty good and recommend this for people who can at least survive that NTR tag (believe me, so far only at the beginning of story) <<less

A quick, light and largely empty read. The protag is nothing special (standard invincible utterly nice and humble man blessed by the gods and led around by misunderstandings), the harem is lacking in depth from every single member (as per most harems), the humor is meh at best though it is really a comedy, the plot boils down to "supreme being blessed by gods shows up, girl falls in love with him, cue misunderstanding and he moves on while girl is confused at why said godly man left crying."

What's probably... more>> the most irksome is the initial premise is workable from a DRAMA standpoint, but this is not a series about drama (of course, skilled writers can mix comedy and drama but it's unreasonable to demand that, imo, from WNs like this). In the hands of a better author the MC's pain at his mild NTR could've been put to great use, and it could've been built to a great cathartic climax when he finally meets his childhood friend. Alas, we get none of that, but I do understand that that clearly was not the author's aim.

Forgettable, is the word I'd use to describe this series. <<less

It deserves the 3.4 it has now. It seems like the only major plot point is him traveling around making girls wet for him and then him leaving due to some reason or another. Overall kinda funny and it’s easy & quick read but not very substantive.

If you came here after reading the manga and can't find the older chapters, click on the eyeball icon above the chapter list. This novel was enjoyable to read, don't be disencouraged by any negative reviews. Now that I've finished it, Im going to next.

I'd like to show my appreciation to the all translators and to the Author (he said that he wrote this LN in 6 months). Well, it was enjoyable till mid-novel, the later parts and the ending were quite lacking and unsatisfatory.
Overall it was quite... more>> heartwarming to read how MC dealt with his rejections, I felt similar to him to being rejected and it also helped me to get over my break-up with X-grill. <<less

I'll be honest, I really like this novel.

There is a bit of NTR in this novel, but it's handled well and you quickly get over it.

The main theme of this novel is of course harem, but it's all about misunderstandings leading the MC to be very emotional sensitive and afraid of rejection, however this is a short novel, meaning that this doesn't last long enough to it becoming annoying. Aside from that it's about making a mockery of reincarnated MCs, their OP cheat gifts and their selfish sense of justice.

I'm... more>> actually more into novels where it's from weak to strong instead of strong to stronger and more world building, but this novel is very well done, it doesn't try to be something it's not, it's an enjoyable read. <<less

For my first review on NU to be about this novel-I have no regrets. For those of you who were like me and were precautious after looking at the reviews with the "NTR" complaints don't worry it isn't your typical NTR. The Author uses it in the beginning to set the punchline for him (e.g he meets a harem member gets acquainted confesses to them and then a misunderstanding occurs because they couldn't get their words out properly. He gets hit with a surge of nausea due to the event between him and his childhood friend aria (whom I personally hate.) and runs off to the day after mañana. And in case you're wondering YES he does confront her (Aria, who left him.) After acquiring a WONDERFUL set of harem members which includes goddesses and fellow yanderes, during the very first confrontation after 196 chapters yes folks we get to see some much deserved ass kicking from your overpowered protagonist to this so called "hero" who stole her from him. It's funny, entertaining and believe it or not as a fellow novel reader of countless stories, it had some aspects of first encounters for me that I've yet to even experienced while reading a story. Read it, honestly there's nothing much to say besides that it's an extremely wonderful story. If you can get past the immaturity that the protagonist shows every so often (which I say so myself is pretty funny and interesting) then this story will be wonderful. Hell let's stop lying here and just admit you're all here to find a damn story to read so in my "Shia LaBeoufs" inpersonation-JUST DO IT

Is not the best story out there, but if you like this kind of setting, you'll like this too. Now my humble review.

Wazu (MC) have this childhood friend whom he made a vow of marriage when they were kids that went demon king extermination with the hero of his nation, after the extermination was completed and wazu (mc) waited eagerly for her, he saw her kissing the hero, in front of the public (in the victory parade) so he got dejected and ran away (take note that MC haves a... more>> weak mentality).

Leaving only a note of farewell to his parents and to her, he got lost in a dangerous forest (without knowing) and there he thought and thought over things again, until he got blessed by a goddess who took pity on him and after he trained in that dangerous forest, he without noticing got really strong. That is were his journey begins

He travels and meets different people, and falls in love all over again, so found once again that it was all his misunderstanding (or is it not?) after this, the cycle repeat itself 7 more times.

The story is fun to read, if you like harem story's then this is for you, but be WARNED THIS HAVES NETORI NOT NETORARE BUT NETORI, they are different, slightly but they are.

also a word of ADVICE if you want something serious to read then "DO NOT EVEN BOTHER READING THIS WN" and go read something else instead.

also the LN has a different setting, but I wont spoiler that, cuz this is for the WN. <<less

So far its average, with nothing too special about it.

The writing style is lacking though. Things jump around here and there like a randomly written narrative. That isn't a bad thing if that is the type of story you are writing, but I doubt it, considering the plot of this series.

The MC is pretty generic as well. I admit that I found the beginning amusing, but after that, it starts losing its appeal, especially when you get into the main story (where the flashback ends).

Ok for 200 plus chapters we get some good points and bad points. Firstly, the second version was deleted and never reuploaded that I have seen so we dont know the continuation so alot of plot holes and like are still existant... not only that but its based off the LN and not the WN. Secondly, there is alot of conflicting emotions and events in this novel... For instance his reluntance to see an ex that was promised marriage, but he doesnt care about outcome. Anothe example, is how fast... more>> gears are changd towards harem.

Third problem with this novel, is fact that the MC is always OP and team is too, but the development of said MC is not dependent on the story, but rather the plotline is dependent on MC actions. Example, MC fights for one reason, but plotline makes it seem its for others that are never contrived in MC mind. Ultimately this causes alot of plot holes and inconsitances to be shown. <<less

A meh story about an unlikable, weak-willed but physically strong boy who mostly runs away from his problems.

There is some humor, but there are funnier stories elsewhere. Most of the characters make s*upid choices, seemingly for comic effect. The result is a world that doesn't feel very realistic.

It's relatively short, but the payoff isn't spectacular. A popcorn story with very little substance.

This is blasphemy! Ah. No I didn't mean it that way. But the story is nothing like Sono Mono! I've already read through over 200+ chapter and it was satisfying to read. But this is not what I read.

I assure you dear readers that there is a Much Better one out there.

I believe the site was Subarashi Desu. I believe.

Now I somewhat understand the haters and the bad reviews. Some said that the MC is a pusi = pusillanimous = coward. Well he does have that characteristics but not to... more>> this extent!

I Strongly suggest to leave this and go to the other site.

Now I'll point out some things that are haywire. Fist the back alley and kissing. There were, nothing like that. But I think it was good cuz it put some oil the fire. So I give it a plus.

Second, I never heard the Minutour or the Tree headed dog. Though there was a dragon but he did not drool! Nor the others!

- actually there was the fish head with arms and legs and the other guy.

Third! Was that he did not go down the mountain! Nor being excited! Though he was lonely and thinking of going back. He didn't cuz he remembered her love and the Hero.

- oh I should point this out but they didn't kiss like the first conclusion but the Hero announced the reward from the king for defeating the Demon King to marry the her. That was all. No kissing no Nothing. But that was enough to drive him crazy (poor Wazu).

And lastly Fourth! And the last thing I read before backing up and leaving this review. Was that the arrow which was supposed to happen After he climb to the top. Got the Blessing from the goddess. Beat Igris up. Got naked. Aquire the all so cute dragon. Before going down! And before that happened. All in all give Sono Mono a chance but not this one.

Again I believe you can find it in Subaraehi Desu. <<less

If I were to describe this novel, I would compare it to water. It does not have a solid substance but the writing is very fluid. Very smooth that it goes down the throat without much effort.

That is why the story is acceptable and does not need much of thinking. It does good comedy. It makes you feel the drama but does not broods over it. Its a novel that you may enjoy if you have an open mind. Its very fast paced but it retents its very light mood.

The... more>> mindset is: Enjoy it as it is and you will find it good (I think).

I just recently discovered I was reading novels wrong.... As like silent movies are hard to appreciate when biased about modern films. <<less

Repetitive theme (Go to new place, fall in love with woman/women nigh immediatly, get to know people around the place, brute force anything that opposes which causes the woman/women to fall in love, solve big problem (s) in the area, and run away after misunderstandings happen between him and the woman/women. Add in some comedy here and there and you get the idea), 'Bland Harem Members' (Woman/Women have some problems they can't solve, MC shows up and solves it, woman/women fall in love and chase after MC to fix misunderstanding (s) that happen along the way. Once they find him, +1 to Harem and proceed to either 1-Be thirsty for MC, 2-Be jealous of other harem members when they're spoiled by MC, or 3-Give generic replies (if they even reply.)) Beta MC (MC runs away from rejection, when he faces a woman he's shy or an idiot, won't love the harem until he settles things with Aria (Holy Woman childhood friend who left him for the hero) and even when he's supported by his harem he's cowardly at times.) and lastly Too Much Comedy Replacing Story (There are full chapters that are running gags like the bandits.)

[collapse]
tldr (Not really a spoiler) : Repetitive theme, Bland Females in Harem, Beta MC, and Constant deveation in story for comedy.
Reasons to Like-
Spoiler

Provides a proper and realistic reason for the MC to have an actual trauma which does give him some character (Aria the Holy Woman aka Childhood Friend who he WAS ENGAGED TO (when they were 12 yeah, but they were to get married at 15) until she goes off to fight with the hero a year after and falls in love with the hero. Yes... it's NTR... Then 2 years later the MC finds out that she came back after the demon lord is dead and sees her kissing the hero in an ally... and it's his 15th BDay... So yeah he's got a trauma. A NORMAL GUY found the love of his life kissing another dude in secret. Big surprise, it's a trauma.) The comedy is gold (Cheesy comedy is gouda) and personally my favorite, EVERYONE'S A HUMAN (It may be hidden but the vast majority of character that are introduced by name have human desires (I need to reread to confirm if there's some that weren't named), abiet some seem shallow but it's realistic in how it shows different people's humanity.

[collapse]
tldr (Not really a spoiler but maybe?) : The MC is an actual Human character (that has at least one trauma), the comedy is some sharp cheddar (cheesy... yum), and the introduced characters are propery and relativly realistically human (it's a fantasy story, give them some leeway please... seriously.)

All in all, great story and you actually take the time to read it you may understand that it's simply beautiful at times and beautifully simple at others. Still waiting for the LN version to be translated as supposedly it's fairly different... PLEASE! <<less

This novel is good for those who haven't read many Japanese adventure novels. However, after having read countless, this novel really lacks anything fresh. Albeit, the premise is quite interesting, but

the most interesting parts are too short and

the "OP ONE SHOT ANYTHING" is focused on and always the same "whos this clown? he looks scruffy" "OOOH HE JUST ONESHOT I DONT BELIEVE THIS" +1 Harem member obtained.

My main issues with the novel though;

    • After around maybe 30 chapters it just loops... Same thing different location different personality-less female.
    • Main character isn't very likable.
    • The main character is given personality early on, but he is inconsistent with his own character at times.

If u ask me this LN is decent in the way that its got enough action an comedy to keep u interested. My one dislike is that theres lil to no filler wich I like an dislike at the same time.
