“Live freely for my sake, remember to be happy.”

That was the last words Yuya heard from his sister, his last remaining family member.

However, Yuya caught the same disease as his sister, his life ended without fulfilling what his sister had wished for him.

――That was what was supposed to happen, but instead, he was reborn into another world.

Yuya was confused, but also found a reason to live. That was, to fulfil the promise he had made with his sister. Yuya pursued happiness as the second son of a noble family――Lyon’s life had only just begun…

――What? Because I’m the son of a mistress I’m forced to live alone away from the main house? Forbidden from studying? A political marriage has been decided for me? If that is the case how can I freely pursue my happiness??

Feeling he was cheated by fate until one day, he met a girl. The story of a boy pursuing happiness and his sisters with no self-respect starts now.

Hopeless. This is harsh for my imagination. All of the main chara are children, while the theme is in*est, relationship, harem, etc. At least make them as teenagers! S*x s*ave, taking v**ginity, breast, etc mentioned but they all still at children level, under 10 age, except the elf, maybe. I like loli but this is too unrealistic.

Don't ever think about exciting things but in*est theme. Why?

Because the MC is worthless. He can't live without the other's support. He want to live full of happiness but has no action, just following... more>> the flow of his daily misery live. Though he has many idea, he has no courage to do it. A proper adult in mind, but so naive and dense. Then what is good about him?

Nothing but gentle heart and naive plans. That's it and that's all. He tried to applying his knowledge about modern live but only for trivial things, such as making simple sweets, taking care influenza, planing business. A common template. Magic?
Yeah, he is suck at it. Has no talent, only good at learning. Even after getting rare ability from the elf. In the end, in every crucial moment, the one who take the important act is his harem member. In family's matter, his sister taking care of him. In duel, his former s*ave, elf, defending him. The simple example for the uselessness of MC is like Yuki Rito from To Love Ru manga, but full of hopeless situation and over dramatic act. <<less

The story itself isn't bad, but the MC is the most annoying character ever!

In the first place, the MC should have a relatively hardened personality due to his previous life's unfortunate events (at least compared to most first-world teenagers), but somehow in his next life he's the most naive pushover character of any series I've ever read. He always puts others before himself. What's that you say? That's what all Hero Protagonists should do? But he's not in any sort of position to do that. Essentially the plot is that... more>> he's reincarnated as the illegitimate son of a noble, and as a result he's being literally imprisoned by his father until his arranged marriage so that no succession disputes arise. Moreover, he's been deliberately deprived of any form of education, magic or martial arts training. He can't even learn to read. But rather than trying to help himself and escape before he becomes completely hopeless, he obediently falls for the Stockholm Syndrome trap without even putting up a fight, to the point that

Spoiler

He even sacrifices his own mother in order to help the daughter of a woman who wants him dead and a man who treats him like cattle, simply because she's the only person his own age who he can converse with.

[collapse]

Honestly I'd prefer the typical bullheaded, brainless shounen MC over this sort of guy who understands how s*upid his actions are but still follows through with them.

But if your SP can survive reading from the perspective of this spineless, idiotic, too-kind-for-his-own-good MC, then you might be able to enjoy the story. <<less

I started reading this out of boredom and I instantly got very upset after a few chapters.

Who on earth enjoys reading about an oppressed boy who is powerless to do anything and is being monitored by his own family.

Spoiler

I wish this was a Xianxia. Best case scenario, he'd run away the moment he gains some kinda understanding of the world. Worse case scenario, bear with it and assassinate the official wife right in front of his so called father.

I don't even know where the story is going. Being a JP novel, it's not like he'd ever get even with his family. One of the very few novels that make me wanna hit the author.

And that father, what a scumbag. Kicked out the mother of his own son away from the kid and made it so that they never meet again. Like wow.

[collapse]

There's only one volume out right now. There's so far no sword and magic involved. Just a poor sob story about a powerless boy. Hopefully he enacts some kinda revenge against his family in the upcoming story other than just taking it all in without doing anything. <<less

Ok... this story HAD a lot of potential but I personally think that the author had squandered the potentials. For starter... So far, the MC is the LEAST interesting character in the roster. Granted, unlike other isekai MCs, this MC has no "Cheat", at least none that we can see so far. Taking that into account however, this MC is ridiculously useless. He was a complete pushover that lets others controls his situation without so much as trying to fix it and simply accept them as matter of course. The... more>> one and only redeeming value is that he's "Kind" which makes it questionable on why the hell the girls are attracted to him anyway? It simply doesn't make sense however you cut it.

The main problem however, is how the MC tend to think with his "feeling" than his brain which while isn't technically "bad" on it own but that makes his decisions are obviously wasn't thought out completely or even downright idiotic. Coupled by the fact that every time something goes wrong with his plan, the other characters tend to be the ones taking the brunt for it, it is extremely hard to believe that the MC is anything other than incompetent.

On the other hand, the other characters are infinitely much more interesting: Alice the elf is a cheery and resourceful girl with pretty much cheat-like ability, Sophia is a girl capable of reading mind who seemed timid and pure yet housing a dark side within her, Claire is the older sister who is actually from what I can see is much intellectually brighter than the MC. In fact, other than the MC himself, the other characters main or supporting characters are interestingly three dimensional and fun to read about. <<less

in*est!!! Instant add to reading list! Ahem, personal interest aside, the story is pretty good so far. The Author really did great job tip-toeing at balancing the theme, no cheat, smart MC, not too much self justice, and moderate persecution isekai theme. I see that this have good potential to develop, but I won't hold my toe because story like this usually risky of being dragged on with no development, or lost it potential midway. For now, I'll rate it 4, because the chapter still too little to give final review.

Update: Looks like 4 star is my final rating for this (actually 3.5 but oh well rounded bonus for personal interest *ahem*). The story have pretty decent setting and characters (especially the heroine and side characters), except MC. If I have to say, he has 50 intelligence but -50 wisdom (that means he smart, but have ret*rded way of thinking)

The next cheap soap opera novel with low scale dramedy and bland cardboard cut out characters that you can find in tons of other reads, trying to portray an overly pitiful MC. The main character is unreasonably high dragged along the given flow of the circumstances surrounding him, "living his life" to the whims of others. Biggest minus are the naivety and denseness of the male lead, furthermore, he's just one more guy who tries to project the common sense of our world to the new one.. Be that as... more>> it may, there's nothing to expect, typical copy/paste plot with one-dimensional cutesy characters lacking in nearly every aspect, packed in an unimaginative storytelling.

And honestly, what exactly stopped him from running away? He had lots of chances to take his sister to who knows where.. ≪.< <<less

I can't recommend this.

What I liked about this story though

-The synopsis sounds great.

-Prologue was amazing, written well. Connected very well with the synopsis, you can really understand the weight of "Live freely for my sake, remember to be happy."

What I hated

Spoiler

-MC development, is next to nothing, or maybe there is something, he deteriorated.
-Decision done by the MC is Dumb but the author is making it seem like it's the smartest move ever
-You'll see something build up, then suddenly, it vanishes, you'll be wondering "why the hell did that happen" and not the good way. He killed characters that could have built the MC, killed the characters that could have made his sisters shine.
-You can tell at the later chapter, the author is trying to make an antagonist, but it's not doing so well, he's rushing the problems to be solved without much explanations.
-The author rushed the "sisters" personalities to change so much, you can say they're completely different characters, well the characters that could have changed them were wiped out, it's like the author smacked the characters in the face with a bat, either change or die.

The MC should have been smart, he spent his last year collecting knowledge, but apparently, his sister that got resurrected as well, who was 3-4 years younger than him and hospitalized, is smarter than him, oh and she got better spec, he calls her a cheat after all, then his sister from the world he resurrected in, is apparently able to manage the territory, he could have done it behind the scene.

But nope, all he did was tell his sister to have the starving commoners to build a new mansion for him so they have a job instead of giving them food relief and using his knowledge to make products bring in income to his territory, and then start improving everything in his territory

He also had built a school to teach farmers children that got sold to s*avery how to f*cking farm, farmers children being taught how to f*cking farm. And the author made them all women, cause why not.

The only thing that really happened in that school was the students got fairer and smoother skin, and his sister made a school uniform that creates a white beam of light whenever the students skirt would flip up.

still I gave it a 2 star instead of 1 star, because of the prologue and the synopsis, the translator did a great job as well.
Would be great if someone else takes a chance to writing a similar story, but that probably won't happen.

MC is essentially OP due to his knowledge. But I'm starting to not enjoy this. It's not a problem to get passed the in*est and other things if the story is good (Game of Thrones). However, it's becoming more of a chore as I continue to read it.

As of Volume 3, it becomes more "Slice of Life" (in an annoying kind of way) and the MC gets dragged along with every situation that comes up. Training and world building gets thrown on the back-burner and you're watching them live OK... more>> and boring lives. Not sure how things are going to turn out, but I'm definitely going to drop this. <<less

Horrible that is what I can only say at the first it is fun to read. But with that kind of piece of sh*t garbage MC I never regretted reading a WN no matter how slow the character development but the thing is the MC never acts with his mental age. I mean what the fvck what's the point of being reincarnated if you only sees the modern knowledge and doesn't fully understand the "tag" that given. My goodness it feels like eating a half baked pie or deluxe meat... more>> that failed to cook I had a high hope for this one but in the end it is so frustrating. Wanna be dense protagonist but I dont think it is about being dense every chapter it felt like the author is fix to the mental age of a child MC. And never realise the past like experience what the f*ck the MC sometimes acts like a new born chick. The only thing that I can see if any reader keeps hanging on is the side character that is much better than the MC. But what is the point if the MC gets beaten from the side character. I almost think the MC is a f*cking narrator. "I want to be happy together with you" - MC

Btw the readers aren't happy thought

"What kind of person's your brother" - MC

"A piece of shit, coward, bird brain overall the best description of a NAIVE person" - Heroine

[○○○]

"He took my role" - Narrator

"However" that word keeps pooping up like crazy there is a proper word for it so do you think it is cool? To keeps using redundant word? It feels like putting a lotion with another lotion it is weird please stop it translator-san. <<less

This novel is super dumb, the dialog is broken, the story is incoherent and the MC is the worst of it all. Why do you write reincarnation as a plot and make MCs mental age to be 30 and then make him act like a child? He is just sitting there and never does anything, he is so immature and can't make any decisions. When the story starts, it interesting and you wait how MC will make a nice comeback from the situation he is in, what will he do?... more>> He lives there for 10+ years and does nothing! The author tries to create a sense of mystery, but the plot is so obvious, it is not even funny. Everything that MC does is dumb and not thought through. It becomes quickly very clear that this novel will not become what you expect. I find myself wanting to skip chapters very fast. Part of it is probably bad storytelling, because there is a ton of events that happen. But the way everything is handled is dumb, MC is just weak in all aspects, he is indecisive and a coward. There is no way a 30 year old would act this way. I really can't read this novel because it has horrible storytelling and idiotic MC. Also all of the resolutions to the problems in this novel are s*upid and don't make sense, along with the setting.

The way he is treated by his family is also the biggest bullsh*t ever. First of all, why is he not allowed to even learn how to read and write? Because he will become a threat because of it? How are they expect to use him for marriage, to another noble house nonetheless, if he is illiterate and knows shit? What's the point of even keeping him there? Just send him away to some remote forest and he will never even know and live a better life. <<less

I'll say this first.

I really did expect the synopsis, and yes~! It happened, but the whole story goes on, like straying out of the path...

Like, dude, you've jogged for 4 or 6 years and you're still weak?! You just ran around the whole yard just doing jogging? How about train not your legs but arms and you're smart assed-soul from your past life?

Still, it went off...

After I've finished the 1st volume, I conceded this...

My reaction after finishing the 1st volume: NANI DAFUQ did you do, MC?! Ye dun' have a brain or somethin'?!

Spoiler

MC's family was massacred which is a big lost because they can be a really good antagonist especially Blake. The bandit attack was just way too far fetch and it was not a satisfying end for his family.

And there is Sophia's family also gotten killed.

All this happening seems to me like it was done just to end all progressing problems in one go which is not really that interesting. I know there is a better way to solve thing and sadly killing off characters is not really the best way to do that.

I just hope the author doesn't make this a 'thing'. Kill em and problem solved. It really have gone down hill from there. <<less

This novel is for those who are looking for naive beta MC with a lot of drama that doesn't know the new world's common sense and human's darkness. As time pass by, he learns about it little by little (at least up to the point I've read).

Vol 1 is face-palm-fest because of the drama and a lot of bad reviews are probably because of that. It gets better at vol 2.

First of all spoilers on the post previous to mine.

Secondly, if you're looking for a fast paced world of swords magic and action, this is not the novel for you. This novel is more about character development and their growing interpersonal relationships, as far as I've read ahead anyway. The story is primarily centered around the MC's efforts in trying to achieve happiness for himself and those he cares about.

Spoiler

What happened so far was that his family was killed off by bandits. As you will read later on, there is actually an interesting reason as to why it happened. Also, at this point of the story, it's pretty obvious that it has a melancholic tone to it. If you're looking for fluff, this isn't for you, as, at least at this point of the story, the novel seems to show that sh*t happens, and not everything plays out perfectly into place.

The progression of this web novel is surprisingly good despite a number of cliche scenes it has been inserting and thus for the plot twists and the magnificent use of a fantasy harem theme that it has been going for. Although I'm not certain that I'm ready for the tragedic scenes that the author is planning to use, just hope it's not as dramatic as a Shakespearian tragedy.

I gave this novel a fair chance, not even minding the harem tag, but this is just unbearable. The author makes the MC look all pitiful while all his enemies are a bunch of rotten a**holes. Not saying it's a bad thing but he exasperated it way too much and it makes the MC s*upidity stand out even more. The MC that was supposed to be intelligence and smart is actually so close-minded and ignorant that he doesn't notice the clear answer to his problem. Not to mention he is... more>> super dense and so pure and innocent he gets shy to look at a 10yo girl. MC is smart and has knowledge of modern day life I'll give him that.

But still "in*est IS NOT UNCOMMON AMONG NOBLES" are you serious?! That's not even the worst part besides modern day knowledge you don't even feel as if you can expect anything from the MC besides that. He is suppressed due to his position of being the son of a mistress and isn't even allowed to receive education. With that type of setting you'd think he'd have some sort of ability or skill to change his fate or... more>> something but no nothing. He was even forced to separate from his mother all because he couldn't find some other alternative way of spreading proof regarding the method to cure the illness without exposing himself. I mean your suppose to be someone who's depicted as smart how could you be so s*upid.

Basically MC is put in a situation where he is "imprisoned" "has no way to receive education" "And has no way to fight back against his father's family who is doing this to him" and he accepts all of it all like it's natural. No motivation to fight back whatsoever. A SUPER WUSS. I mean seriously why would we even wanna read about an MC like this?! <<less
