Ruins stretched across the landscape in the apocalypse after the nuclear war.

If you accidentally survived on the wasteland, then you must be ready to face the endless hunger, ceaseless dangers, the mad zombies at night, and the peculiar mutant creatures that are the aftermaths of the constant radiation.

But for Jiang Chen, this place was heaven.

Mansions stood tall, luxurious cars parked on the street, high tech products and gold abandoned everywhere.

What? You were the president of a game development company before the war? You were responsible for the development of the 3D virtual reality online multiplayer game? Well, that’s great, why don’t you come work for me. The salary is two pieces of bread a day.

iPhone? Ultra thin design? Don’t you see that the phone I invented are thinner than cond*ms?

Aircraft carrier? Fighter jets? Oh, I have those things as well, but they are designed for space combat.

Watch the story of Jiang Chen, who possessed the ability to travel through space and time, as he witness the creation of an empire stretched across space and time..

What can I say. The MC at the beginning seems like an average guy. He then rapidly shows himself to be a total horn dog scumbag racist rapist.

All the women in this novel are depicted as whores, sluts or worse. The ones depicted in a positive light are the ones MC is interested in.

I really shudder to think what the author of this novel is like.

I really cannot tolerate a novel where the MC r*pes his girlfriend's sister and thinks "oh well" and his girlfriend thinks "oh well". Besides that,... more>> the lot is weak and convoluted. The characters in both realities are one dimensional and... those are the good parts. It actually gets worse instead of better. I do not think that I am being biased as I gave this a chance by reading to almost chapter 200. <<less

MC is building his forces in both modern and futuristic apocalypse world. At first he is hesitant about girls but you know how it goes, yes there is a harem and not gonna lie it would be better without it but it's tolerable. It's not as great as A step into the Past where the MC was like James Bond so you expected him to get girls, coz he cool and they actually fall for him coz of reasons, but it's not as bad as Very Pure and Ambiguos either,... more>> he doesn't pretend to love one girl and then bang every girl he meets, sometimes he even sleeps alone to get rest and doesn't proactively seek girls, even resists them slightly. Ah just remembered from the early chaps, don't know if it's the translators fault or the Author is ignorant, MC's power needs 100 volts lol so he plugs his fingers into a socket and causes a power outage for the building. Obviously 100 V is not an energy unit, even if the author meant W it still needs to be multipled by seconds for the time it is used, and 100 W is basically one light bulb, it can't cause a building power outage lol. It is better than GDW since it doesn't have sidetracking, racism, sexism, irrelevant characters x1000, so if you're okay with some wish fullfilment go ahead and read. Okay, who am I kidding, most likely I'm gonna drop it later if or when the harem gets too much, but for now I'm still reading it. <<less

EDIT: it turned into tr*sh later on and there was a lot of pointless s*xual themes. What a shame!

Seems like a fun "what if" sci-fi, post-apoc adventure with RPG elements and a protagonist who isn't some sort of mu*der-hobo or LN cardboard cut-out. You will probably find the story's universe very familiar after a few chapters, but hey, it works. I usually cannot stand this sort of "inspiration" at all but the author puts in effort to make it feel original, so it gets a pass from me. Pacing is... more>> comfortable, too, not much in the way of info-dumps or word-count padding filler. Give it a try! <<less

Pretty good.

But MC just a horndog that cant keep his pants. Its no problem tho. The most hilarious thing is that MC is super duper rich, he has very very big company, he got interviews from reporters multiple times and supposed to become FAMOUS. But guess what ? His parent dont know it at all. Is there no f*cking television in the village ?? Stoopid

The novel is absolute garbage. If you even make it as far as I have which is only c77 you'll find the following tr*sh parts of the plot

  • MC that can only think with his dick
  • Righteous cheating because he can't control himself
  • Blatant racism because China numba 1
  • Simplifying romance to virg*n standards -> f*cking a girl is enough to make her loyal to you
  • Pretending to be nice but actually an absolute dickhead to everyone
  • His business skills are so incredibly basic my head hurts
  • MC has too much plot armor for everything
  • Over-exaggerating nuclear fallout
  • MC is an unbeatable superman after being injected with just a serum
  • Author tries to make the technology sound cool but it sounds like something a 5-year old came up with
In summary, don't waste your time.

As a fallout fan, I like to read everything that resemblance with it.

  1. Unfortunately author's r4pe fetish and s*xual frustration made this story so disgusting that it unbearable for me to keep reading.
It just like a 30 yo virg*n dude who still live in his mother's bas**ent suddenly want to write about how charming he was in his dream that every women will throw themselves to his c*otch with only a slight compliment.

The story is pretty good for me. S*upid at times but there are many things about the world that was portrayed quite good. The only thing that makes me disappointed is that the story suddenly amped up it's racism towards us Filipinos. It is my first time reading a novel regarding China's outlook regarding the territorial dispute with us and it was absolutely disturbing on how the author portrayed the Filipino fishermen (Country F's people) in the story. I mean it's fiction but holy macarani. This author has some real... more>> problems with us 'monkeys'. The author made it look like "Oh it was an accident. I didn't want them to be killed. Whatever, they deserved it.".

That really made my stomach go upside down how the Chinese actually think like this. They have some really good learnings about morals but their patriotism really destroys everything good about them.

I thought it was just the Chinese government making issues regarding resources but based from the author's outlook, it seems like it's just an absolute thing for them to own anything that is near China and they would kill anyone who disobeys.

I've been reading Chinese novels for years and this is the first novel to blatantly mock us Filipinos. I kinda enjoyed the story even with the s*upid nympho MC and absolutely wish-fulfilling plot but it just makes me vomit when the author spouts righteousness and such and absolutely nailing it but when it's about other countries, it doesn't matter if we all die to them. It's just sad.

MC had so many methods to take over an island country but used despicable methods such as starting a war while watching at the back while the island people are killing each other. I pretended that nothing happened since it's just fiction but the racism towards our country is just plainly depicting their outlook towards us. Insults are ok but the disregard toward life regarding our people just makes me angry. <<less

I read this to 368 and I can tell you that you shouldn't read this at all. Below are the reasons why.

Spoiler

First things first. I don't know what the Author thought about when he made this Protagonist. I mean, What the hell is wrong with you? Why is this MC such a f*cking moron? Is it maybe because this MC is a product of your twisted imagination and rotten brain? Or is it maybe because this was written by a mentally ill psychopath?

The MC is like a dog in heat as he goes around and has s*x with virtually any slightly beautiful woman in sight. "Oh look, that girl is a salesperson who is also slightly beautiful. Let's have sex! :) "

"Oh look over there, this girl I saved is grateful to me. Let's have sex! :) "
And my personal favorite. "Oh look at this girl who basically did nothing wrong at all! Let's kill her lover, imprison her in the bas**ent, r*pe her and have s*x with her! :) " And I can already tell that this girl will also forget all about this in a few dozen chapters and fall head over heels for this giant waste of a human being.

There are tons of other things wrong with this 'thing' and I really recommend to not read this. Another example would be that this doesn't make you feel anything except rage and anger at the s*upidity of the author and the MC and even the females, who basically have nothing unique about their personality. And there is no need to talk about the disgusting nationalism and the narrow-mindedness of the Author who has created this piece of crap.

Like others have said it just turns into a novel where the women are all gold digging whores who want the MC's spear, Goes to save a friend sleeps with a girl there, goes to buy a mansion, the manager offers a service for him if he pays for the house. It's just this over and over the harem are the same s*x crazed women. MC says yes to every woman for some s*upid reason.

Rant over, if you want a apocalypse novel then don't read this since there's no apocalypse... more>> just s*x and more s*x. <<less

I will list the reasons why I think a 5 star is ok. Hopefully this will help others to decide to read this story.

I was initially put off by the negative reviews, but then I remembered that I should give it the 10 chapter test and see if it was any better beyond 10. YES it was.

I spent 6 hours straight binge reading into the 70's. It was that good for me.

... more>> Let me list my reasons:

  1. First, I liked the premise: guy with power to travel dimension wants to use to gather wealth and power. Who wouldn't like the power to travel to another dimension and get loot and resell later in a safer environment? Simple enough idea for me to follow.
  2. His character growth and the supporting characters growth as well. It was refreshing surprise to see a Chinese MC grow emotionally. MOST of the stories I've been reading they MC and his support typically don't change much at all. There would be a chapter that I read and think to myself "I know if I was in his spot, I would have been a total dxck to that other character. Instead the MC shows that he can look beyond some past issues and be a better person." Those chapters made me realize the author does care about the emotional growth of our MC. Other chapters also showcase how much he's change by his powers and influence on the world and people around him and their influence on him.
  3. The world building is very good and very realistic. I'd say the author did enough research to make the modern world seem realistic and the reactions of the MC and the people around him believable. The super tech of the 'future' timeline world is believable enough to let it bleed back to the 'modern' current timeline. Makes you wish someone like him did exist to bring over neat toys like he did. The story of him building a power base in the apocalyptic setting and modern corporate empire was well done. It left me wanting more details and growth as I read along.
  4. He's a flawed person, not a OP perfect person. Not even close. But his flaws make him human and NOT a monster or a douche. One example that others bash upon: he sleeps around. Yes. S*x exists in this story. His growing influence will draw women to him. So like all adult males he will actually sleep with them. Go figure. BUT he does have enough self restraint to NOT sleep with EVERY 2 legged female that crosses his path. That's a complex character. Simple ones will either sleep around like a sl*t or be a harem king and can't decide. Author decided to create someone who knows he's got pxssy everywhere but also shows a man who knows there are times pxssy isn't everything. If you're offended at this point about the MC, I don't recommend reading the story. Cuz SxX is part of this MC as well.
  5. The intrigue and action is believable and top notch. At times I was tense and suspenseful. The writer knows how to write out his battle scenes. Whether it be political battles or combat, he's got a good touch there. The translators and editors are Top Notch at translating it over to us English readers.
Overall, those are my main reasons I'm in the 5 star camp. So if you do think these are good enough reasons too, give it a read, try the first 10 chapters and if it didn't suck you in, you may skip this story. But if you can't stop reading, then you are caught like I am in the struggle of our MC to build an empire across two worlds. <<less

The only thing that prevents me from reading this novel is the MC which is difficult to like his personality. That's why I dropped after chapter 180. Brag there brag that brag everywhere, wth is he thinking? It's hard to comprehend a person that has too much ego that it overflows despite that before he can travel between parallel worlds he is a sore loser for life. Why don't he reflect on that and improve his normally without any flashy bragging and stop being a cheater. It's okay if he... more>> really loves the girl but it's just lust anyway, he can't even love purely without lust. It's difficult to read it when the story progresses. These type of people doesnt deserve to be blessed by wealth and doesn't deserve to be loved. I hope someone condeucts divine retribution on that idiotic MC. <<less

First of all, 3 stars is a good score for a CN webnovel. It actually deserves a bit more than that, but not quite 3.5, let alone 4.

Second of all, allow me to politely greet the mothers of all the biased reviewers who'd barely read the beginning and said it was bad, or decided it was bad because of their bias. Because of them, I had dropped it after reading a few chapters years ago, convinced it's a sh*t story.

Well, it's not. Once again, I'm happy due to my decision... more>> to simply read all stories according to tags and premise instead of believing idiots reviewing the novels here (I'm not saying everyone is an idiot, but a good 25-30% should do some IQ exercise).

Now, the actual review.

This story isn't a great one, but it's quite solid for a CN webnovel. We basically get a a random guy who got some unknown ability (minor spoiler: I think it never got explained in the end where he got it from, though the setting does suggest a certain possibility) to move between two worlds: modern Earth and parallel postapocalyptic Earth. Then, he starts to make use of the possibilities, developing in both worlds...

The setting is decent. The author seems to be a big fan of the Fallout series because the postapocalyptic setting is based on it, except it's more advanced and less destroyed (which I think is good, because honestly the Fallout universe is too ruined to by anything but a game world), with minor tidbits from League of Legends or Dota (don't ask me which, they're the same crap to me).

The author has really done a great job on the setting if you ask me (for a webnovel). The science-fiction part is pulled off quite well. He also bothered to analyze the geopolitical, social, economical and other such nuances for the modern Earth part of the setting. I also loved the supremacy-purity-harmony ideology concept (except purity wasn't named, or translated, like that, I believe). There were some minor issues and mistakes (some clearly in the translation, some on the author's part, and some hard to say), and the author's knowledge of affairs in, say, Europe was lacking, but it was still 10 times as good as that of most authors who include modern Earth settings in their science-fiction or cultivation novels.

The plot is quite fine. If anything, you should prepare to be patient in the first 200-300 chapters as they're worse than most of the story - just give the author some time to get the ball rolling. I have nothing much to criticize in terms of plot progression (except that first part), and the author did well to balance the two worlds most of the time. People who like conquest, company management, politics, and influencing the world from the shadows are in for a treat (as much as a webnovel can offer it). I only got a bit bored by chapter 1200-1300 somewhere, but it was more of a personal mood issue, and I smoothly finished the remaining 300-400 chapters afterwards.

Speaking of the setting, the author actually didn't crap on Japan and the US too much. There were small tidbits of racism in the story, but the only big one was aimed at the Philippines (which were substituted by country F if I remember correctly... the author replaced names of cities and countries with such nicknames half of the time, but he also commonly didn't, and I think he stopped keeping up with that one lol). I also love that the protagonist didn't really join China. A bit of spoiler on geopolitics in the novel:

Spoiler

Well, Japan and the US got beaten up, especially the latter. Invasion of the US was basically the wet dream of most Chinese readers, I suppose, but I like that the author didn't go batsh*t crazy on it. The author was more like, you guys will be taught a lesson, and then we are cool when you've learned to cooperate without me destroying you. I also like that the novel wasn't CHinA UbER aLLeS, but rather the protagonist left China pretty early on, took over a random country, and controlled it from the shadows, while China effectively became his sidekick eventually in the story (though it was never expressed like that).

[collapse]

Well, I could feel the author rushed the ending a bit as the story could've been much longer if he had wanted, but it didn't really make it bad. I think the ending was decent (though nothing special, either).

The protagonist starts as an average Joe at first, but surprise, surprise, he actually undergoes character growth through the story. He actually matures (at least in some ways), and you can really tell it a few times in the story (though it's the most apparent from his thoughts, haha). However, while I like the protagonist and he's good, what is problematic is that he isn't all that unique. In fact, he's somewhat generic as he's one of the most likable common modern Earth or cultivation world harem protagonist types. This lack of uniqueness is good because the author stayed on the safe side to make him likable, but it's also bad because I can't think of any peculiarity of the MC that offsets him from other, similar protagonists now that I'm writing this review. Perhaps his character growth (since it's rare in CN webnovels) ? But that's not really a trait, is it.

Good news for male characters: they aren't irrelevant. It's often the case in harem novels that male characters don't really count, but not here. There were plenty of important male side characters, with many of them being friends or subordinates of the protagonist (though, as the protagonist himself once pointed out, there was not a single true buddy... but that's just as well because the whole brotherhood in CN webnovel is just horrible at this point, they simply can't write about a true close friendship). What is also nice is that quite a few of them weren't Chinese, but were white instead. Unfortunately, the author doesn't really like black race, though he deigned to keep it tame...

Harem started a bit meh, but it was pretty good overall most of the novel. Best girl Ayesha ftw (the author literally made her into an ideal forever obedient and submissive wife, but I can't help but fall for it despite knowing it). I can't say I dislike any harem members, and while they have more than 2D personality, the author could work a bit more on them. The development of relationships was sometimes okay, sometimes worse. A few poor things (minor lovers) seemed to be forgotten at the end, though.

You can look up the manhua to see how they drew the girls, most of them are present there. I don't recommend reading manhua instead of the novel, because they skip some details (especially ero scenes), but they have funny running jokes on the MC's member.

... Sadly, as the tag shows, the bastard author included r*pe thing in the novel.

Spoiler

Iirc there were three victims: two who got r*ped for the sake of interrogation, and a Japanese woman who got r*ped because people wanting to please the protagonist would've done much worse to her if he had done nothing to her (yes, the author dares to use this sh*t excuse). At least the protagonist has some conscience to feel deeply guilty in one or two cases, but quickly forgets about it. One victim becomes MC's wife later, one becomes his random masochistic lover (yes, the Japanese one, because it's okay to sh*t on Japan in CN webnovels), and one is among the poor things forgotten in the end, a loose end.

[collapse]

The protagonist didn't sleep with every female character in the novel, and some seemed to have only been included among "love interests" to tease the readers, but there's no real point talking about it.

The translation/editing was generally fine (not without problems, but they didn't break the immersion 99% of the time). as I've already mentioned, some mistakes could've been the author's fault, though some were clearly not.

Overall, a decent story that you can spend your time on and read until the end. Not stellar, no, but quite decent for a CN webnovel. I can recommend it as such. <<less

Degenerate wish fulfillment void of meaning.

The main character is a morally bankrupt, self-insert edgy CN MC. As a person from the civilized world, he not only practices s*avery, but thinks well of it. In narrative he thought of bringing the s*ave collars of the wasteland to the modern world to make his company business easier to manage. He lies and obfuscates and then denies and self righteously justifies aforementioned lies, most common in relationships. With his Dragon Ball Z Fury power-up and bizarre internal inconsistencies in system, he quickly becomes... more>> a p**sy-buggering knuckle-trucking superhero. His personality goes from a vengeful loser who can't get a job to a respectable, suave CEO and Wasteland Hero whom everyone respects and fears, all from some strange reaction which "Strong Men" get from his aura. In a wish fulfillment novel, we couldn't have stable character building after all! Not to mention appearing weaker than any other character!? Ludicrous, I say!

The alternative world is technologically advanced and in the year of ~2200. There's lasers and Superman vaccines, all kinds of things through which to power-up. It's infested with zombies and other mutated creatures. A cool concept, yet insofar has been quite irrelevant to read of. Relationships, romantic or friendships otherwise, are abhorrent in this story, but I'll just mention companionship first. Most of his teammates are s*aves under him or other parties he is trying to ens*ave. Being a person from civilized times, what a great man, worthy of reading, his ideals taller than Mt. Tai. When there is no relationships to ship or draw enjoyment from, there needs to be other stakes. As opposed to, for example, in Epoch of Twilight where MC has multilayered relationships with characters, here everyone is a simple caricature. The s*aves are content and grateful to the Great Leader and the women are, anime-like caricatures void of emotions, driven purely by plot-arcs the author wrote up to showcase their submissiveness and reliance on the almighty main character.

And what about the business side? The management? It's shallow and fruitless, with nothing from which to draw enjoyment. MC says to X to order s*aves - time skip - buildings built, s*aves happy, chad MC content. Business? They call the MC Bill Gates of the East? Nobody is doubtful of My Man's ability to somehow rise up from a loser bottom-feeder to a genius developer CEO chad alpha male? In a press conference nobody questioned of his abilities? A tech conference at that? So shallow, I cringe in your general direction. Nationalism! Yes, there might be more of that. So far there have been some instances of blind CCP nationalism, such as in the aforementioned press conference where a strawman CNN reporter asked of privacy; whether it was safe to use. The MC answered with blind propaganda arguments of how the CIA and FBI monitors everyone. Everyone clapped! Chad MC is right, shame on the capitalists! Glory on the CCP! The strawman then retreats from the stage as nobody deigns to throw any more such questions, lest the Chad MC's malicious glare explode the sycophants.

Just skim ahead, your thoughts void of exploration, eyes blurred and drool dripping down your shirt.

I mean, if you can and have in the past done so, it might be a good read. There's certainly wish fulfillment in the form of s*xual exploration and romance, even if with simple caricatures and pure fan service anime style. Action might be to some tastes I guess, if you like a power-trip void of rules through which to go by and enemies just strong enough to warrant some words of caution in narrative yet weak enough for Chad MC to whip into shape and ens*ave. <<less

It's too cringy... I had lots of moments when I wanted to drop it.. The story focus on collecting women more than the apocalypse. And it's get annoying with so many girls falling on MC like pokemons.. Also every girl he meet fall in love with him.. This story is just about the author's fantasy of having all kind of women. Not sure if I can bare reading any more of this. Reviews say that it gets better, but right now it reads like bad Fallout fan fiction. Everything from the setting, technology, and even plot lines are ripped from Fallout with cringe worthy additions like including Roshan the Immortal from DOTA2 along with the typical power fantasy revenge aspects.

Just reading the story can be painful. Fallout itself is very self aware that its culture is a satire and doesn't treat its' science and technology seriously, but "I Have a Mansion..."... more>> tries to explain subjects the author has no grasp of at all in the most painful of ways. Worse still, these explanations serve no purpose and aren't necessary to the story in any way at all.

The characters so far have just served as one dimensional power fantasy props and this lack of depth and understanding seems to permeate much of the story. <<less

I was disappointed. This author forces plot/character development in very unnatural ways or with delusional logic. The MC behaves and thinks like a teenager going through puberty despite his age, and the novel so far doesn't explain why the MC has his dimensional bracelet. Also the author takes lore and setting shamelessly from Fallout franchise, and even names real world companies, franchises, and people.

It's an ok read if you don't have anything else but the flaws in character logic and the forced plot will make you cringe.

There's a lot of potential in the storyline but I think 50% or more of the setting has been squandered due to poor planning by the author.

First off, there's 2 major plot lines in the storyline, juggling multiple storylines is always an issue, and it's even worse in this one because both sides follow fairly narrow functions (at least right now), i.e go to future world for tech, bring to modern world, conveniently find excuse to use modern tech, gain rewards rinse repeat. It feels a bit monotonous and lacking... more>> in terms of direction. This is also the first work by this author and it shows by way of inability to properly setup future plotpoints in a way that doesn't seem forced. One of the other reviewers mentioned wish fulfillment and imo, this seems perfectly in line with how it's developing right now.

There's also some concerns of mine that the storyline isn't really moving anywhere meaningful right now, but given that a lot of mc's plans are still in it's initial stages, I think that's to be expected.

The amount of gratuitous s*x is also turning into a problem, initially, I actually thought that it was an acceptable thing, primarily because in the future world, MC basically fulfilled all the basic needs for his harem members and them getting attached isn't unusual at all, even jealousy/etc, is completely acceptable. Even some of his modern day trysts due to him going from zero to hero is acceptable, but the most recent ones have been a bit.... lacking in purpose. I don't mind raunchy scenes, but I need there to be an acceptable level of logic for these scenes to occur, otherwise they serve the same purpose as fanservice and feels like a lack of effort on the part of the author to me.

Finally, there's some very minor grammar issues with the translation, not enough to deduct stars for, but enough to negatively impact reading enjoyment.

All in all.... a lot of potential, I personally wouldn't recommend it right now, but if the author manages to get something rolling out of this novel, it might be worth picking up. I'd say this might be worth 3.5 stars if the storyline picks up, but is currently worth at most 2.5 stars due to pointless s*x and lack of overall planning/plot. <<less

Author's wish fulfillment hypocrite, rapist and triple standard novel. MC is mediocre at best reflecting by author's style. When it comes to harem doesn't really matter the girls like the MC and they are ok with him having multiple girlfriends.

I don't understand why people praised this kind of novel.... perhaps 80% of the readers are likeable to MC's personality? yes you can say this is only a fiction but remember this what you read frequently will influence what u do in reality if u read good books it will reflects... more>> in your personality, bad books? take a guess? <<less

Well I tried to hang in there but yeah this novel is pretty tr*sh.

Where to start. First of all it rips of fallout like there's no tomorrow. Not forgetting the other ones the author rips off such as resident evil. Then there's the racism. And the MC supposedly being clever, but acting like a moron. I think hb338 said it pretty well in his review, the MC turns from an average person to some kind of superhuman overnight who can do anything acting/tactician/businessman etc.

There are some heavy undertones of racism... more>> and racial supremacy tones in the novel as well. Also every important character is Chinese. I mean some could argue that Robert is important but he is just a side character.

On a side note

Spoiler

In the novel there are several terrorist attacks taking place in the modern world, in Japan, Europe, America, Africa and South East Asia. However none takes place in China so far. Which is rather interesting. Cause if you want to wipe out humanity that would be a decent place to start considering the amount of people living in the country.

[collapse]

The world building in the novel isn't that great, the premise is interesting but unfortunately it doesn't feel like the author has a feel for what kind of world he wants to portray. Secondly the MC is as mentioned before pretty tr*sh. If you put him in any random xianxia novel he would fit right into the role as a silk pants antagonizing the actual MC.

Well can't really think of anything else to say. But if you're expecting this novel to be great prepare for disappointment. <<less

The novel is quite interesting, and tries to be technically correct even when it gets a bunch of things wrong (for example, mixing 1 kg of antimatter with 1 kg of normal matter would yield only 43 megatons, hardly enough to "end all life on a planet") and while it has it's cringe moments it's good overall...

Until you get to the ending. It's obviously insanely rushed and there are a bunch of plot hooks and questlines left unfinished. What a shitty way to let down a novel with so much... more>> potential. <<less
